Description
Cotton loop knit (French Terry) with insulation is a soft, comfortable, and slightly stretchy fabric containing elastane.
On one side, the fabric is smooth, while on the other side it has a small loop structure that provides extra comfort and warmth. Inside, there is a small fleece.
This fabric is ideal for sportswear, casual outfits, hats, sweaters, pants, and children’s clothing.
Loop knit is breathable and ensures natural air circulation, making it a great choice for both cooler and warmer days. A practical and durable fabric with enough stretch for comfortable everyday wear.
Sewing tips:
When sewing with cotton knit, it is recommended to use Jersey or Stretch needles. If the knit is very stretchy, it is recommended to use Super Stretch needles, which are specially designed for elastic fabrics. These needles have a rounded tip that allows them to easily glide between knit fibers without damaging the fabric. Needle size usually depends on the fabric thickness, but for cotton knit, commonly suitable sizes are 70/10 or 80/12.
